Our team came together for a quarterly gathering dedicated to one powerful theme: Excellence.
The initiative, titled “My Mission”, united courier teams from all regions to share their on-ground experiences, the day-to-day hurdles they encounter, and the best practices for overcoming them. It was an opportunity for every team member to voice their challenges and learn from one another.
The session was led by the senior leadership, including the Managing Director, Mr. Najeeb Kabeer, and the Last-Mile Division General Manager, Mr. Turab Ur Rahman. Supporting them was the Group Business Excellence Manager, Mr. Kiran Varri, who walked the team through an insightful presentation filled with practical examples, case studies, and short videos demonstrating the true essence of excellence.
Mr. Turab highlighted real delivery scenarios the team had faced recently, making the discussion practical, meaningful, and aligned with real-world situations. Adding even more value, a key client joined the session as a special guest. Their appreciation for the efforts and commitment demonstrated during the program was a strong morale booster for the team.
The two-hour gathering concluded with five engaging role-plays performed by the staff. These skits helped the team understand what customers feel when expecting urgent deliveries, and how small actions can create big impacts. The activity perfectly reinforced the day’s central message: Excellence is the standard, not an option.
Of course, no team event is complete without great bonding moments. The gathering wrapped up with hot samosas, chai, soft drinks, and later, a treat of delicious biryani at a nearby restaurant—chosen by the team itself.
Inspired by the session, the team proposed two fresh excellence-driven initiatives. One key idea was the introduction of a Support Specialist, dedicated to assisting courier staff with unique or special delivery requirements. More updates are on the way… so stay tuned!
